Our Nursery

Sheen Montessori is housed in Palewell Cottage, a purpose-built nursery facility on Palewell Common Drive in East Sheen. Our light-filled classrooms have been thoughtfully designed to create calm, focused learning environments where children can engage freely with Montessori materials and activities.

The location offers exceptional outdoor access: woodland is on our doorstep, and our large garden provides daily opportunities for nature exploration, outdoor learning, and physical play. Palewell Common offers further possibilities for nature study and outdoor adventures.

Our Classrooms

Children aged 2–5 learn together across three mixed-age classrooms — Bronte, Darwin and Newton. Each offers a carefully prepared Montessori-inspired environment where independence, curiosity and a love of learning are gently encouraged.

Through consistent daily routines, hands-on materials and supportive adult guidance, children build confidence, concentration and key skills that support both social and academic school readiness. Our mixed-age approach allows younger children to learn from older peers, while older children develop leadership and empathy.

Each classroom is staffed by qualified Montessori-trained teachers who tailor their guidance to every child's individual pace and interests.
